David Cross

David Sherwood Cross founded and for ten years was editor and publisher of Update Cape Coral, a real estate magazine and newsletter for property owners in that SW Florida city, still being published after 32 years. His extensive career in all facets of real estate, spanning over half a century, led him to write his first novel, Serpents and Scallywags, published in 2010. He is currently working on the sequel, Skyscrapers and Scallywags. Both novels are set in his home town of Minneapolis in the ’50s and ’60s. He holds a BS in forestry from the University of Minnesota, is a graduate of the American Savings and Loan Institute, its School for Executive Development at the University of Washington, has earned the MAI and SRA professional appraisal designations and the distinction of Life Member in the Appraisal Institute. He has also been a licensed real estate broker since 1960.
